This past few days was spent getting my brother into the 21st century.  First I brought him a rebuilt computer from FL (Micro data systems to be exact). There was a ton of downloads, then showing him how to get his email, execute a search and check on the weather.

Since I think he got a virus on his old 98 system, I plan on taking it home, formatting it, and seeing if I can’t use it as a dedicated bird cam system out in the Florida room. This would allow you all to view my lake birds, and who knows, you may even spot moi out there working in the yard.

I spoke to my sister on the phone.  She is sounding better.  Apparently a week in the hospital has done her good.  She even had her kids help her with cooking a leg of ham.  

I read the recipe for her 3 times from the website. I said that the ham had to cook 3&1/2 hours.  What did she do?  Cooked it for 1&1/2 hours.  ACK!  Well at least she had to good sense to cut it and check.  Then she had her son cut it into smaller pieces and put it back into the oven. I guess

I plan on driving down to see her new years day, and spend about a week there before heading back up to LI and down to my lake house.

I asked a neighbor to feed my outside cat.  I hope she dose not mess thing up too much.  I asked her to feed my cat after the sun goes down out front.  The Ducks are voracious gluttons and my cat will not get a crumb.  Gwen comes to pick me up at 5 and what do I see, she was walking around out back with a bowel of food in her hand being followed by a flock of ducks. (Sigh). I even wrote down the instructions.  That’s the one thing I am worried about, my sweet outside cat.
