Well, I have been home a bit now.  Getting caught up on things.  Covering plants from the frost after some badly needed TLC.

I haven’t been blogging I am glad I got to spend that time with my sister, such as it was.  Soon after I arrived home here in Florida, she went into the hospital on an IV drip of morphine.

What I was told by my brother that after a few days, they stopped giving her an IV of nutrients & water.  It is so good for those butchers at Center State Hospital in NJ that I am not there.  The hospital staff would know why I have earned the name Nova. Lucky for them my brother said they started again, but only after a fuss was raised by her kids.

She had no living will that would have denied her this.  Her living will states no heroics, no chest compression.  That’s it.  As it stands, she is wasting away to nothing.  Not lucid.  Not long for her.  The end of this week, perhaps the beginning of next at best.  Ironic.  Her birthday is January 31st.

Readers, watch your loved ones.  Don’t leave them to the tender mercies of staff that think it OK to let someone die of thirst.  I know cancer is not easy for her, but this...
